Care Guide
General Care Instructions
To help your towels last longer and reduce environmental impact, we recommend washing full loads while avoiding overfilling the machine. This ensures a better clean and helps reduce unnecessary water and energy use.
Remove laundry promptly after the cycle ends to keep fabrics fresh and minimise creasing. Use a gentle, eco-friendly detergent where possible, and consider using slightly less than the recommended dose to reduce water pollution while still keeping your towels clean.
Avoid bleach and fabric softeners, as they can damage cotton fibres and reduce absorbency—especially important for towels. Wash at low temperatures whenever possible.
Always separate light and dark colours to prevent colour transfer, and use a low spin cycle (around 800 RPM) to reduce wear on the fibres.
For items with zips or metal details nearby, use a laundry bag to prevent friction and pulling. For best results, always check the care label on each product.
First wash
Before first use, wash separately to help set the fibres. Use cold or lukewarm water (max 30°C) with a small amount of mild detergent. Avoid fabric softener for the first washes, as it can reduce absorbency over time. Like most cotton towels, you may notice improved softness and absorbency after the first few washes.
Regular washing
Wash at 30–40°C with a gentle, non-bleach detergent and similar colours only. Avoid overloading the machine—flatwoven cotton performs best when it has space to move freely, allowing for a more effective and even clean. Designed as a lightweight 270gsm weave, a small amount of lint in the first washes is normal and will reduce over time.
Avoid
Do not use bleach or harsh optical brighteners, as these can weaken fibres and affect colour over time. Avoid fabric softeners, which reduce absorbency and are not suitable for towels. Repeated high spin cycles can place unnecessary stress on lighter weaves. Keep away from items with zips, Velcro, or hooks that may snag the fabric.
Drying instructions
Remove laundry as soon as the cycle is complete and shake out the towel before drying to help prevent damp, creases, and stiffness. Gently stretch the fabric while still damp to help natural cotton fibres return to their original shape and reduce the need for ironing.
Air drying is recommended. Hang or lay flat in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, and shake out before drying to minimise creasing. This is the most gentle method for the fibres and helps extend the lifespan of the towel while preserving its softness and colour.
If tumble drying, use a low heat or delicate setting. Remove the towel while still slightly damp to maintain softness, then shake out to restore texture and volume. Dryer balls can be used to reduce drying time and energy consumption while helping keep the fabric airy.
For a relaxed, effortless finish, steam drying or light steaming after drying can help smooth fibres and reduce creases, leaving the towel naturally soft without the need for ironing.
If ironing is preferred, do so while the towel is still slightly damp, using a medium cotton setting to remove creases more easily and reduce energy use.
Thanks to its lightweight 270gsm weave, the towel is designed to dry quickly after use—making it ideal for beach days, travel, and everyday routines.
Ironing & finishing
If desired, iron on a medium cotton setting, ideally while slightly damp. However, the natural flatwoven texture is designed to feel relaxed and effortless, so ironing is entirely optional.
Storage & long-term care
Always store fully dry in a well-ventilated space to prevent moisture build-up. Avoid keeping towels in damp or sealed environments for extended periods. Wash after a few uses rather than excessively to help preserve the natural softness and structure of the fibres over time.

Stain Care Guide
General Stain Care
Treat stains as soon as possible—fresh stains are always easier to remove, while leaving them can make them harder to lift over time.
Before washing, always pre-treat the stain. In most cases, a simple method works best: use a clean, damp cloth with a small amount of mild dish soap or liquid detergent. Place a clean cloth underneath the fabric and gently press the stain from the top. Avoid rubbing, as this can damage the fibres or spread the stain further. We recommend avoiding paper towels, as they can leave residue or fibres behind.
Cotton is highly absorbent, so regular and timely washing helps prevent staining or discolouration over time.
Grease & oil
Apply a small amount of dish soap directly onto the stain and gently work it in. Rinse with cold water and wash according to the care instructions on your towel.
Coffee & Chocolate
Soak the stain in cold water and apply a mild detergent. Let it sit for a short while before rinsing and washing as usual. Repeat if needed before the stain fully sets.
Red Wine
Blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth to absorb as much liquid as possible. Rinse with cold water, then apply a small amount of mild detergent. Wash as soon as possible. Repeat treatment before drying if the stain remains.
Tomato-Based Stains
Rinse immediately with cold water from the reverse side of the fabric. Apply mild detergent and allow it to sit before washing on a normal cycle.
Makeup & Sunscreen
Gently treat with liquid detergent or mild dish soap before washing. Avoid rubbing harshly, as these stains can spread into the fibres.
Blood
Rinse immediately with cold water before the stain sets. If needed, soak briefly in cold water with a mild detergent before washing on a regular cycle.
Note
Avoid contact with bleach or strong chemical agents, including certain skincare ingredients such as benzoyl peroxide, as these may cause permanent discolouration of cotton fibres. To preserve the natural colour and quality of your towel over time, keep harsh formulas away from the fabric and follow a gentle rinse after exposure to any treated water.
